This dude somehow almost makes Preston Brooks nearly beating Charles Summer to death on the floor of the Senate in 1856 seem civil in comparison.

Today was my annual "introduce my APGov kids to Coheed" day during our unit on the Judicial branch.

I’m glad Kim seems to have a decent lead (though idk how much to trust an internal poll) but I worry Tammy will rack up endorsements and get the county lines and end up winning

That's cool. Our teacher just made us watch Amistad when we were learning about the Judicial Branch.

I also remember a US government teacher playing us the 2003 John Grisham legal thriller Runaway Jury starring John Cusack. There is a mass shooting scene in the beginning of that movie, so kind of weird to show do a bunch of 15 year olds.

I always love showing this video, but last year I realized they needed context on coheed to find more humor in them doing this, so this year I played the 1st verse and chorus of a few songs first just to get them into the idea of like hey this rock band with goofy sounding vocals and crazy lyrics fits really well doing Scalia's insane dissenting language lol

It probably costs Walgreens more to install those cases than the loss they'd get from people shoplifting candy bars.

Even more absurd the Target CEO quote saying people actually love it and are thanking them.

maybe cvs should have more than one person working at a time instead of cameras that can follow you around
