For the moment, yeah...if Stroud is as good as he looks though...2 1sts, 2 2nds, and a stud young WR to get a QB you dont offer a second contract to...and who might not even crack 10 career wins...that one looks worse than Trubisky.

Not sure anyone can top the Lance one though, simply because he played like 200 snaps.

Yeah, most people had Bryce QB1 or a close QB2 and his only knock is his height. Lance was insane. They were basically hoping he would become what Fields already was. Trubisky I have no logic for. That was my "I guess I'll trust them because they know better and get paid to make these decisions" draft.

 

Yeah, either way you count that first 2nd round pick, its Nelson then Leonard/Braden Smith, and Goedert that became the picks traded...and had they not blown it with Rock Ya Sin, the next two guys taken are Jawaan Taylor and Deebo Samuel. Would have been an unreal 4 pick haul with Taylor...rebuilding an entire line off one trade.

Still dont think thats as bad as the sheer volume of the Lance deal...or the bears giving up basically as much as the Darnold trade, to move 2->3 when there are 3 starting QBs available.

I’m with you in that I think Bryce zooms to the top of the list if the 2024 first round pick winds up being #1 or #2 overall

I can’t think of a more immediately fireable offense for a front office than trading up to 1 and then finishing with the worst record the following year, regardless of how Bryce turns out in years 2-4
