I'm pretty sure they said Damage was their best since Futures too, if I remember correctly haha

 

Hah. I'll have to check on that, but I guess that just means that according to them, IB is better than Damage ;)

 

they gave damage 4 and a half stars. but it was a different reviewer. also this isnt a review its a feature/interview with some opinions littered in, so i expect we will see an official review from them soon.

 

This is easily one of the most tame boards I've participated in. It really came down to one guy in here. He's gone now.

 

You must not get around a lot

 

I've learned not to take reviews from Alt Press or Kerrang seriously, none of them seem genuine. They do give good reviews but never seem to criticize anything. Maybe its just me though.

Im sure IB might be the best album since futures tho

Yeah, humanity exists on a spectrum of different shades instead of a black/white morality curve. The dude that got banned had the most basic outlook on life.

And yeah, it's no problem; the discussion forums I've frequented over the years thankfully tended to have a more understanding view of personal issues, esp. those surrounding self-perception or mental health, and this place is so much better in that regard than some of the trash-fire sites I've been a part of down the years.

 

Every time a JEW album comes out I look forward to seeing how Rolling Stone approaches their half-assed "review" and whether or not Pitchfork will cover them or not.

Pitchfork is owned by a huge media company now, and they've posted news about JEW recently, so I'm curious.

 

Man, for the most part I think the Chorus community has been a massive step up from AP. Mostly the good users migrated in the switch, and most new people I see are nice. That Mark dude was one of my least favorite people from either site though. I really just hope Chorus doesn't get a lot of people like that like AP did. AP became as bad as reddit toward the end of it's life. I love this little community though, so I want it to stay nice.

Anyway, only a couple more days and then Integrity Blues can wreck me.

 

Integrity Blues can have its way with me. I'll take whatever it wants to give.

 

I took a nap and had a dream that I listened to Pol Roger in my old high school and played it over the intercom and you could hear the whole school crying from the front office 10/10 so ready for this album

I'm at the show tonight and I just know it's gonna be amazing. Can't wait for Friday. This is the best week since the new Thrice album came out haha.

That'd be a huge improvement over their dismissals of JEWs work in the past. They gave Futures something like a 3.0.

Idk why I care about the reviews...I just want great musicians to get the respect they deserve.

 

They also gave Futures a 3.0 or whatever 12 years ago
