Sorry I choose to remain optimistic about the guy who seemingly wanted Stroud but was forced by ownership to take Bryce (which would be incredibly unsurprising) and thus has not be put in the best position to succeed from the top down

Yeah, I’ve seen people fairly critique Frank for some of his playcalling and the stuff with Thomas Brown, but he was also handed what is arguably the worst offense in the league to work with so I’m gonna continue to believe that he’s being put in poor positions to succeed

It can literally all be true, y’all lol. Yes Bryce AND Reich suffer from a terrible supporting cast around the QB. Yes, they both also make obvious mistakes.

 

Is Bryce not in a poor position to succeed? Or are we only hurling zingers his way and defending Reich because he was in philly once?

Yeah, he took the job and all the smoke is that he wanted Stroud and ownership wanted Bryce

Don’t act like ownership and the front office doesn’t play a role

 

Bryce is also in a poor position to succeed! But Stroud and Richardson didn’t land in what many thought were the best positions either and that didn’t stop them from showing promise

Agreed. And yeah, CJ has been incredible. Clearly the better QB so far regardless of situation. But his situation is indeed better than we all anticipated. And it is certainly better than what is going on in Carolina. Partly because CJ has been great. And partly because Houston just functions better right now.

Stroud’s team did a much better job of drafting recently though and that makes a huge difference

(Doesn’t discredit Stroud - he’s arguably having the best first season, productivity-wise of any rookie I’ve ever seen - but it is also a factor)

 

Off the top of my head, I don’t think Fitterer has a draft hit yet. Like a single draft hit.
