Sunday League is great to watch, shite to actually be part of. The reason it's shite is because you come across the sort of men who take it far too seriously and their tackles are ridiculous. I mean, look at that tackle in the video above! That sort of thing is rife. It's really not worth getting injured because of them.

5 and 7 a-side are better to play and safer imo. I might sound like a "wimp" caring above safety but I really don't feel like having something like an ACL injury if I can prevent it.

  2. Starting to look like Bayern got Kane for a bargain.

Yeah, it’s always put me off.

I don’t play much anymore after breaking an ankle when I was younger. I prefer running (mostly because I’m slightly less shit at that), but I’ve always enjoyed 5-a-side way more than proper games. More of a laugh and a fun atmosphere.

That said, there’s a Sunday league I sometimes stop to watch on my run that is pretty decent. Skill level is abysmal, naturally, but everyone seems to know what it is, no one thinks they’re auditioning for the CL final. Maybe I should get involved.

Done some work here and there with Kammy over the last year or so, and can confirm he is the nicest, warmest, funniest guy. An inspiration.

Burnley's Lyle Foster is stepping away from the game briefly due to his mental health. Could present itself as a big opportunity to spread awareness.

Brighton back line cannot get/stay healthy. Milner out after 8 mins, dunk out with a hammy, Estupinan comes back and has to leave with an injury.

  11. Maddison, van de Ven, Richarlison all out for awhile. Porro apparently banged up as well? Sheesh. I know injuries happen, but it’d be nice for them to be spread out a little bit lol

Looks like the Arsenal injury bug that plagued them for multiple seasons migrated to Spurs

Lineup is going to be so different this weekend. No VDV, Romero, Maddison, Richarlison, possibly Porro. Yikes.

  15. If Porro can go it’ll probably be…

    Johnson Son Kulu
    Bentancur Bissouma Sarr
    Emerson Phillips Dier Porro

It honestly isn’t terrible outside of the CBs, but that pairing could be rough. I like Phillips but he’s like 19 years old and likely not ready. Hojbjerg starting as a CB would shock me either.

  16. With the news that Davies is back, I’d expect the backline to be Porro, Dier, Davies, Emerson. Oof.

Really similar like that game we had last year against Sporting, which managed to take out Saliba, Tomiyasu, and Partey for the rest of the season.

Must be 5/6 players out for both Arsenal and Spurs atm

    North London is wounded.

  18. The backline will be a mess regardless of who Ange selects to start. But I’m very curious how he replaces Maddison. Today he said they have to “be careful” with Bentancur. So I don’t think he’s quite ready to start. Hojbjerg is a good player but would be a big downgrade in creativity.

Lo Celso isn’t a traditional 10 but I think could play decently in the role. The other name Ange brought up in his presser was Bryan Gil. He didn’t say that he’d start or play in the middle. But I’d kinda like to see Gil in the 10 role tomorrow.

Could see Kulu move to the 10 and have Gil play RW too
