I’ve seen EPA used to describe the play of both individual players and a whole team. That’s okay. Just like it’s okay to look at stats like success rate, DVOA, passer rating, CPOE, and whatever the hell else that’s out there. You don’t need to treat any single one of them like gospel, but if you put some of them together and marry them with the eye test, it begins to really tell a story

I have yet to see a stat that is more consistently accurate for QBs than good old fashioned QB rating. (Not the ESPN one, not the college football one, the traditional one) PFF grade is pretty good most the time but there are too many times I’m like “wtf” to see them as reliably objective

imagine the Chiefs tried to trade Frank Clark for Maxx Crosby in 2019 but the Chicago Bears pitched a fit and got the rest of the league to veto it

I made a very intelligent bet on breakout players but got told that I was breaking the league with how lopsided the trade was FOR Michael. It got vetoed twice then another good trade got vetoed then the whole league became cowards

Most leagues have 1 or 2 people at least who don’t know wtf they’re doing

We haven’t vetoed a trade in the pay league in years but that’s because the players have a pretty good grasp of player value

the stuff I see posted in fantasy football social media groups is insane and should be vetoed

 

A veto should be reserved for extremes. CMC for ETN? Nah. CMC for Dalvin Cook? Yah.

Having a family/friends league and taking advantage of the people who don’t pay attention and got talked into it to fill the league is extremely lame and it shouldn’t be allowed to take advantage of that at the expense of the other players who know what’s up. I support vetoes on a case by case basis
