Everything's coming up madden league

 

Just had another Reddit guy message me. I posted the website on there, I think people will want to join.

The website is actually sick as fuck lol

 

I think we should maybe look into trying to achieve more of a simulation feeling though, for the record going forward if that's what people who want to join are looking for because I know I would also like it to be as realistic as possible

 

what would you change

what woudl that do?

 

Tries to simulate the amount of yards, penalties, etc that you would find in a normal NFL game. You never see some penalties in the game that you see in real life.

 

This is what one guy said about his sliders.

As I stated in last year's game, My Slider Set is designed to be realistic, in order to succeed you must know your team and what it's built for,
For Example: If your team struggles to stop the run or pass then they will do so, if your team has a hard time pass blocking or run blocking then they will do so, most importantly, your QB will perform to what his rating is, it's only realistic, My sliders are not designed to coverup holes in your team, they are not designed to make a bad team a good team.

Please remember that Slider Sets are never a "One Size Fits All". What works for me may not work for you. You may need to tweak (adjust) specific sliders to fit your liking. You should not need to make too many adjustments as these sliders are created to try and capture as much realism as possible while also trying to be a bit challenging. These sets are for the casualgamer who likes to treat this game as a real life game and use his entire playbook, not choose the same cheesy play over and over and take advantage of exploits in the game. Remember, it's all about having fun!

Seems like it would make all the users who started with a bad team struggle just because they had to choose a bad team. Meh.

I think a more realistic 4th down rule could be applicable too and onside kick stuff, they're just more effective in game than in real life I think, 4th down conversions at least, and I hate always having to worry about getti bc scummed by stuff like that, I was always in favor of the point differential rule like can't go for it on 4th without being down by however many points or however much time left etc... also I do feel like games are short

 

I'd like it to be a balance of realism from that sort of point of view, as well as still a big influence in actual skill in madden

 

I'm not saying any of this is the arbitrarily binding end all be all of how the league should be, just throwing some ideas out there

 

Like, if my rookie QB starts missing wide open receivers consistently after I read a man blitz and audible or something, that's when I'd begin to question stuff like that

 

It's not like real life where you see more and more teams going down by like 14 in the 4th and being able to come back and the games close in the 4th, at least not in my opinion there's not enough time/number of possessions, but I am bad so it could be that but even still, I feel like we're only getting in about 5-7 possessions each but in real life it's almost double that most of the time, and long touchdown drives that take up whole quarters every game is not realistic, sure it happens sometimes where a team has a long drive of 9 minutes or more if they're trying to run the clock out but for us touchdown drives are lasting around 6-8m and that's basically the quarter

 

I agree, the games can go by very quickly.

 

I know for me at least, I feel rushed literally the whole game because I know I'm only going to get maybe 5 chances to score

 

yeah the time thing is an issue still, if your down in teh 4th, you done

 

Especially with accelerated clock, about 35% of the actual whole time gets erased by accelerated clock so if we have 7 minute quarters thats actually like 5.5m quarters with accelerated clock

 

I feel like if I'm down in the second I'm down because there's not enough time to come back lol
