It’s incredibly disingenuous to put the blame solely on Zach at this point. I think he still is a bottom 10 QB but it would be hard for most QB’s to succeed with how fucking terrible the O-Line is, how putrid the receivers are outside of Garrett, and how truly dogshit of play caller Hackett is. Zach still takes some dumb sacks that are 100% his fault, but if you watch the offense at all without the “lol same ol Jets” bias it is clearly evident there are far bigger issues than Zach at this point. I know I shouldn’t be feeding into the trolling but I woke up hangry and haven’t had any coffee yet and I’m ready to watch the world burn baby

You see it every year that bad/mediocre QB’s can be propped up in the right situation where teams do their best to hide their weaknesses by having a good O-Line and good play calling and the Jets have… none of that

 

i'm not really trolling, if nothing else i'm maybe the person who understands it the most. swap a few names around in max's post and its probably a defense i've given verbatim for daniel jones. the argument that 'no qb would succeed' behind that O-Line doesnt exactly hold a ton of water, CJ Stroud was balling his ass off with like, a few shopping carts for an O-Line earlier in the season. Eventually, a good QB overcomes poor line play, a good QB overcomes other deficiencies. yes the O Line is bad yes the play calling is bad yes it turns out Saleh probably isnt the guy, but, the QB is also a huuuuuge reason they're doing so bad.
