B10 should have to give that money to the #5 team when Mich season inevitably gets vacated if they make it.

what happens with the last couple every time is i get too far in to admit defeat so i just keep them in my process even though i know they aren't contending for a ranked spot lol. they're probably in that range though tbh

Haven't weighed into the Michigan stuff but if the reports turn out that it was a rival behind a firm or multiple firms hired to investigate a rival, that sets such a weird precedent in the NCAA. If I am any rival of any school being investigated by the NCAA, I would automatically hire someone and that is just if it was announced, not finding dirt and slowing leaking it to the media before you even inform the NCAA/Conference of it. Does not excuse the behavior in anyway.

Not too mention if the some of the information was illegally obtained which is being looked at currently by Michigan.

You have people who used the tickets from Conor Stallions quoted in news articles and the knowledge that the NCAA caught wind of things through a private investigation firm, and Michigan fans now think that the schools illegally obtained the evidence? It seems pretty obvious where the private investigators got the evidence lol.

The document with amounts listed that has been talked about in the leaks is what is I believe is being alleged as someone illegally accessed his computer to obtain that. The buying of tickets and having other people attend to film is grey area of the rule, particularly if you can't link the funds of the university going to that activity. From everything I understand about this nut, is that it sounds like he was funding this himself as he comes from money and has used his AirBnB's in the past to travel to all the Michigan away games when he was not a part of the team whether officially or as a volunteer. Now him being at games himself whether in the stands or on the sidelines, yeah that is illegal as shit.

This is getting back to trying to get off on a technicality territory. The assumption seems to be that someone that didn't have permission accessed and provided certain information as evidence to the PI and therefore it is illegal. The problem with that is that if Connor gave people permission to upload files to a Dropbox or shared drive, they presumably also have the ability to make copies of files on the shared drive or still have the actual files they uploaded themselves. That is not criminal. I doubt Connor and UM took the time to give these people access to UM shared drives. That is at best a civil suit, not a criminal one.

Yet the report is that law enforcement which I assume is the University's own police are investigating it. So since we are throwing assumptions at the wall here, my guess is they would not just do that if they did not think that there was something criminal there or looking to see if there was. All we can do is speculate at this point in time.

But having your own rival being the investigative body and leaking things to the press is again unchartered territory. It's interesting that all the initial smoke of this was coming from Ohio St. reporters and message boards. Does not absolve any wrong doing and there should punishment after the NCAA investigates and concludes it was against the rules but lets not act like this was not a strategic dump and leak to get the media and other fans in a fever before the NCAA actually investigated. Michigan has still not even been given a notice of allegations by the NCAA.

Weird thing to do if they did nothing wrong and are innocent! Can’t believe they didn’t even give him a fair and proper investigation!
