Some absolutely filthy riffs on this album.

Been listening to them since The Night God Slept. This is such a level up in the genre to make it their own. Sure there's Northlane electronic/industrial similarities which seems to be a trend like spiritbox, bad omen, polaris and yet Silent planet crushed it on executing and innovating their sound.

This feels like their most cohesive album yet. I love it

Garrett was on Nik Nocturnal's stream today and this is apparently a concept album about the Stargate Project the CIA did for a few decades. Cool stuff

This is easily their best album to me. Dreamwalker makes me want to toss myself down a hill.

Stumbled onto this record just cause the album art was so sick. Inhaled this record all day yesterday. It’s pretty damn good.

We reach for the longest shadow

Yeah I really like how cohesive this is. Some moments where I can’t help but be reminded of Spiritbox, but that’s not a bad thing. I also like Garrett’s low key cleans better than the previous guys’. Loathe comparisons abound too, but again, not a bad thing at all. Not sure if this is controversial, but I truly believe Garrett has some of the best harsh vocals in the game currently. Absolutely punishing.

    I forget this isn’t me 10 times out of 10. You’ve seen me. I ain’t a metalcore vocalist hahaha

    Haha, looks can be deceiving!

  17. I hate to say it because I do think he got better as he went on but I don't miss the former bassist's vocals on this at all. I'm glad Garrett and the guitarist are going for a more ethereal performance instead of the more typical whiney metalcore cleans we got on their stuff up until now.

    just one of those ghosts

Garrett's cleans on this ruuuule! And whoever sings on Euphoria knocked it out of the fricken park.

Have had this album on repeat all week. The title track segues perfectly back into Lights off the Lost Coast. I'm afraid to look at any past SP albums, for fear it won't hit like this one does.

I think its safe to step back to Iridescent if you're really digging SUPERBLOOM. This is easily the most electronic they've ever sounded though. I personally think there is merit to all of their releases (I've been a fan since The Night God Slept), but they definitely have found themselves in the past 2 albums imho.

Iridescent is as good as this is, imo. But Everything Was Sound, The Night God Slept, and When the End Began all have way more hits than misses in general. Incredibly stout discog.

yeah i think its all worth giving a shot. i never got that into wteb but its far from a bad album

the first two albums feature a different guitarist who was way riffier and brought like an oh, sleeper esque flavor to his writing and he kicked ass
