This would definitely be a good album play get for Riot... But what are the odds that Pitchfork gets them instead? (Not familiar enough with that festival to say if they'd be a good fit or not these days.)

  2. In my mind they're the quintessential Pitchfork band from a bygone era of that site. They're also the odd band that's a fine fit at any of the major festivals, and I'm actually surprised they've never played Pitchfork Fest before. Could see that going either way.

Interpol feels more like a Pitchfork band to me. But I could see them playing Riot

    They played Riot in 2018

They can also play Lolla, they have played it before in Chicago and the international ones. But if they do an album play it must be at Riot

  7. They were so good in 2013 but I had to leave halfway through their set because the friend I was with hated them and wanted to get a good spot for Saves the Day.

Fuck yes this is gonna rule! Bummed they're out for Riot, TBH, but happy the Boston date lines up with my availabilities for the summer!

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

100% need to go to Detroit. Might try and do Chicago or Nashville, depending on summer plans.

I wish the Smashing Pumpkins weren’t playing too so maybe Green Day could just play both of those albums since they are “celebrating” them. Hopefully it means they will add some more songs from them on the setlist which will at least change it up some from their hella mega setlist they have been doing.

Both albums are like 95 minutes total - it's possible they play both

I just realized that Wrigley is on a Tuesday. That is annoying!

    Milwaukee is a Saturday

I think I'm gonna try to see if I can go to one of the shows without the Pumpkins - those will possibly have longer Green Day sets?

Bummer they’re not on Riot (maybe next year!) but I’m beyond hyped for this tour!

Tempted to do multiple dates, but doubt that’ll happen

After speculation that this year would be the last of the reunion run, Pavement got announced for some Brazil shows. Maybe more shows next year? Maybe Riot?

I'd love if Pavement played. I'm not a big enough fan to see them on their own, but I enjoy them enough that I'd like to check them off the list.

  21. Alanis Morrissette's summer tour is hitting smaller markets in the midwest and dancing around Chicago. She's an obvious pick for a smaller headliner, unless she does Ravinia or something. Joan Jett is opening and it would be great to have her back at Riot as well.

I know every year one of us brings up Alanis and with a package like that and no Chicago date maybe it’s in the cards. But judging by that gap I’m guessing it will end up being Ravinia.
