I’ve got three picks, but in my heart I think I know which one I need to go with. If someone takes either of my runner ups they’re getting heavy points from me though

 

I put one in as a placeholder but will likely end up switching it out. I think the one I put in is too obvious, but I also don't want to get too cute with it.

The one I wanted to put in does not appear to be available on Spotify.

 

Another category where my first choice isn't on Spotify, but the one I picked is really great.

Some that are the obvious frontrunners, a few I don't fully agree with, at least one I didn't know was a cover and then a few more I don't know at all... Good mix!

 

Alright, I did my best here to help everyone out. If I messed anyone’s original up, feel to say so and I’ll remove this post. You don’t have to say which one is messed up if you want to maintain anonymity, or you can just DM me and I can swap it out. There are multiple versions of some of these and I did my best to trace the *actual* originals. There’s only one I couldn’t find and it’s on YouTube - I’ll link it

Some of you are going to think that's I'm a Believer. Some of you are going to think that's Hallelujah. I'm not saying which of you are right. Maybe you both will be.

I thought about changing it but never got around to it.

 

My ML voting philosophy is, if the number of votes allow, to always give everything at least one vote unless I absolutely hate it or (more often, although not in this league) it’s by someone I don’t think should be promoted or supported.

 

I'm almost a week late on this - life comes fast, man.

I deleted the note, but the only major thing to add was that I played on the same stage as Ned/Ben (who are identical twins btw) from Title Fight. They played a couple originals with other some stoner guys from school...I played "Lips of An Angel" by Hinder on guitar with my buddy singing. Guess which performance got more applause?

I go to the office Tuesdays and Wednesdays, remote the other days, so I typically get my listening in during my commute or at the office those days

 

My runner up that no one wound up picking was Amy Winehouse - Valerie. The third was a song I knew no one would pick and would probably lose me votes if I did since we have a few Charli XCX heads in here, but it was Hovvdy - Claws

 

I would have given votes to Valerie, that version is very good. I haven't heard this Charli cover though so I'll go listen ASAP!

 

Valerie is a good one. Didn't realize that was a cover until recently. Also just learned Cyndi Lauper was a cover this week.

 

I also for the last year or so have not been able to hear or think about Hurt without thinking of this
