What does DIY twitter have to say about wearing a blink 182 shirt to the blink 182 show at Denny's

My effing favorite of all time. It brings complex feelings of spleen, sadness, longing and hope, all at the same time. I remember I cried when listened to it for the second or third time. I was 15 yrs old and I could not understand sh-t, cause my English level was so-so. But the whole vibe… oh man.

My “cool hipster hardcore” friends back in the day also loved it, though it wasn’t cool to like blink or pop punk in general. But there is an awesomeness you can’t deny.

100.000 physical albums is a lot nowadays? I’m not into this kind of things.

  22. Crazy that Enema only got to #9, but I guess that makes sense since it wasn't until "All The Small Things" before they really exploded, right?

  24. MCA issued Enema of the State on June 1, and the release peaked at number nine on the U.S. Billboard 200.[77][78] The album chart was gripped by the Backstreet Boys' Millennium, but Enema of the State still managed to move 109,000 units that week.[77] The band was supporting Lagwagon in Europe when MCA executives phoned the trio about rising record sales. Joey Cape, frontman of Lagwagon, remarked that "They were selling, like, 90,000 records a day [...] I was saying things like, 'What are you doing here? Go home! Why do you want to be on tour with Lagwagon right now?"[79] At a show shortly following the release of the album, DeLonge was approached by Noodles from The Offspring to congratulate him. "He looks at me right in the eyes and he goes, 'You're next,'" remembered DeLonge, who blushed and shook off the compliment.[79]

The major-label debut sold strongly and nearly four times as fast as Dude Ranch,[26] and shipped gold to stores, unlike its predecessor, which took seven months to achieve that certification.[3][63] Enema of the State went platinum in October 1999 and went triple platinum in January 2000; in February 2001, the album was certified five times platinum in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Crazy to think back on how many more albums were sold, in general, back then.
