It’s weird how the country is in financial ruin if we need anything that helps people but if a new war comes around the “who’s going to pay for it?” crowd gets real quiet.

 

I think there is still a moral case to be made to not vote for Biden with the way he’s handled this. It makes me sick thinking about supporting him in any way

 

I can think of many reasons to try to talk progressives into voting for Biden that otherwise would not. But if someone tells me it’s because of him devaluing Palestinian lives and supporting Israel’s genocide I would just say fair enough.

 

“Not pure enough” is a strange way of saying supports the murder of children.

 

Who was her running mate? I literally forgot.

 

Tim Kaine, who had similarly expressed views of Biden at the time (doesn’t support abortion but won’t outlaw it)

 

Don't know what to say or do right now except vow to never participate in any national American political process ever again for the rest of my life

Vote away. We will still send money to a fascist state that blows up communications towers and kills untold thousands of innocents in the dark

I'm not going to validate the mechanisms of a power that is now the ultimate cause of human misery in the world

Even more interesting imo is how this polling shows how emotional overreaction really is a thing, and it can die down real fast

 

Dems and Repubs have unfortunately been relatively similar on foreign policy since WW2 it feels like. There’s some differences on the margins (ie compare Biden and trump on drone strikes and rules of war and etc), but the war machine/industrial complex keeps on. Domestic policy is where all the meaningful differences are.

 

It’s also a poorly worded poll. Waiting doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t want one

My first year after college when I was stuck going back into retail, I’d have my morning DD on the way to work and a Red Bull/Monster around 11am for a pre-lunch pick me up. It took me awhile to realize why I’d be having the jitters and anxiousness each afternoon.

 

I assume it’s because, sorta like the GOP and their own nutjobs, the actual higher ups in Hamas are trying to be a governing body whereas some of the foot soldiers didn’t get that memo
