This is fantastic and definitely sounds like Gaslight. The production is perfectly fine and not as jarring hearing the album as a whole. Spider Bites, History Books and Michigan, 1975 are my early favorites. I’m so glad we have this band releasing music again after a long nine year layoff.

I would say this record kinda plods/meanders vs rocks/rolls but I still like it.

 

Yeah, this is great.

I'm loving the rustic production.

 

Short of straight up Halloween records (shoutout Dead Man's Bones), this might be the most October album I've ever heard lol

For a guy who's had "ghost" on his lyric bingo card for most of his career, it's cool to hear Brian write a few actually haunted/spooky story songs. The whispered ending of I Live in the Room Above Her is some good ghost story shit

 

Im liking this much much more than I thought I would after hearing the singles just once and reading all the comments.

The production does sound more muddled on some compared to others but listening to the album as a whole as opposed to standalone songs, you dont notice it as much.

I wish the album was sped up a little more, thats my favorite type of gaslight. That said, my favorite stretch of album is tracks 5-7, which has two of the slower songs.

Autumn is the one i'm not a fan of.

Overall, so pumped we got another gaslight record. And that its pretty damn good.

 

In the best way possible I almost barely notice it’s Bruce in history books. Like his verse just fits in so well and feels so natural
