I went to Clean immediately, one of my all time favorites from her, and was really impressed with the way she nailed the vocal intricacies that make the original version so special. Really cool.

  2. I’ve always disliked that song. This new version sounds less corny to me.

Seems like the general consensus is not favorable, especially towards Style. I agree, but this album was pretty much perfect in my eyes, so any change was going to be heavily scrutinized by me. A lot of y’all probably felt that same way for earlier albums though.

I think the non-singles work really well. All of them sound quite good. The singles suffer, though. Really kind of lack the energy the originals had.

Yeah I’m digging all these Vault tracks, and you can hear Jack’s flourishes all over them, haha

Just got to Style, and this one blows. What happened to the airiness of the original? The beat is drowning her vocals through and through. I am picking up on some little synths parts that are brought to the front a little more, but I won't listen to this one again. Enjoyed the first two a lot. Hoping that trend continues...

EDIT: Out of the Woods redeemed it. This chorus is amazing now. Moreeeeee

EDIT 2: I enjoyed the rest quite a bit. It felt like the singles just didn’t hit quite as hard, but Blank Space and Bad Blood sounded bigger. I thought the biggest improvements were in the non-singles. I actually like New Romantics for a completely different reason than the original. The vault tracks were . Sooooo good.

"Slut!" isn't what I expected/wanted it to be, but it's pretty good.
Say Don't Go is definitely a 1989 side we didn't see on the original album. This is great and the best one here.
Now That We Don't Talk and Suburban Legends feel like Midnights songs
Is It Over Now? bashes the whole Harry didn't escape any scathing songs thing, lol.

Really happy that none of these make a case for being better than the initial 16 songs we got on this one. First Vault that feels like a total collection of b-sides. But, obviously, her b-sides can still be pretty good.

Ok, she definitely wrote "Suburban Legends" five minutes after writing "Mastermind."

Not through my first listen, but so far, Fearless remains the only TV where I’m all in on the re-recorded album tracks.

The horns being more prominent in Shake It Off is fun

I think she *really* wants another milli week

How does adding one song to a digital deluxe 8 hours after the original do anything though? Feels like a mid week deluxe makes way more sense to boost listens when they night be waning

Pretty sure she was already gonna do a million with preorders alone
