i agree that straight people are a myth but the gaylor subreddit takes it too far

 

I saw that earlier and I kind of don't really understand what they're up in arms about? If someone could give clarification that'd help

 

t swift called them out in the liner notes for 1989 (taylor's version) , like basically "i thought ppl would not relentlessly project onto me romantically if i just posted photos of me with my girlfriends, turns out i was sooo wrong"

 

this is as close as Taylor will ever get to calling them out for assuming things about her sexuality and telling them to stop (she has already also publicly said “I am not a part of that community” at the VMAs one year).

 

it's insufferable. the most irritating thing is their instance that somehow she's lying or hiding something when she's already stated otherwise. it's one thing to say don't speculate on someone's sexuality - especially if they haven't mentioned it before. it's another to brush off another's romantic encounters as compulsory heterosexuality to feed into a fantasy about your favorite celebrity.

 

And to add on to that, it's 100% fine for someone to simply be an ally. Ffs people can be insufferable.

 

More vault tracks absolutely written in the last few years for the most part

 

i've seen this conversation before, and while i think it's fairly possible that some of these songs weren't completed back then, is having a portion of a song completed all it takes to have a copyright from an earlier year? per the liner notes, all of these songs are copyrighted 2014

 

The 1989 vault songs sound like they could be midnight tracks tbh. Don’t know if that is jacks production on them or what but that was my first thought listening to them the first time

 

I assume if they're not songs that were just b-sides and held off, that they are songs that maybe were rough ideas originally that she decided to finish writing and put on this re-release. Same with the other albums vault tracks.

 

I do think some pieces were there. But a lot of the lyrics and some of the progressions are very much Midnights Taylor

reminds me a lot of Felt This Way by CRJ. probably my favorite of the 1989 vault tracks so far.

 

It’s decent but I don’t think it will be the banger it’s expected to be.

 

There’s an exception to every rule, and now Taylor is the exception to every billionaire being a terrible person.
