like, you're not even really understanding why you can't just call something "predictive" just because it's never happened before,

and then you're approaching this discussion like you have all the facts and i don't know what i'm talking about

we always get into this because the way you treat advanced statistics IS pretentious at times - and you don't even really understand the math behind using stats predictively, enough to know what the limitations are. So you're kind of abusing them in context as a "gotcha" to shut down other half-subjective arguments, when your own argument is half-subjective and you don't even realize it is.
