i liked: Cleveland, CVNP, Columbus Zoo, South Bend, Indiana Sand Dunes, Chicago, Lincoln Boyhood Home national monument, various places in WI/MI/MN if they count as Midwest and not great lakes states, Badlands NP if South Dakota counts.

And judging from West Virginia, I'd probably like Southeast Ohio too in terms of scenery, but have never been

 

Think we are going to drive to PA and Upstate NY next year and do some hiking in some of the spots I have on my list. Want to go out west or New Hampshire/Vermont but next year is going to be expensive for me since I have an engagement ring I need to purchase. So trying to save on not having to buy a flight/rental car.

 

You would defiantly like Hocking Hills in Ohio if you are into that type of scenery (WV).

 

Yeah quick google search and looks very similar to some awesome places in Appalachian parts of PA. You should definitely try and hit Worlds End State Park and Rickett's Glen State Park in PA

 

I wish there were more ways to travel the country car free

 

Rickett's Glen is on my list! I will have to check out the other spot.

I grew up in Northeast Iowa, right on the Mississippi River, between there and Wisconsin in limestone bluffs and forests, in what I truly believe is one of the five prettiest places in the country, surrounded by the *very worst* people America has to offer.

I absolutely love everything about my hometown except most of the humans in it, and almost any human within 30 square miles of it.

The Midwest is beautiful. The people ruin it.

 

Don’t come visit Pittsburgh. I don’t want any of you here.

 

Midwest college towns are the sweet spot. Typically nice little blue circles in a sea of dipshit red.
