Bagent took 1 sack today. His processing is good. Fields probably takes 5 or more. The Bears o-line isn’t perfect, and needs at least two new starters next year but I think people will be surprised if they manage to get a QB who can read an NFL defense and ALSO has + physical tools

 

I wonder if the NFL is going to fine the Falcons into oblivion for the way they handled Bijan today. Obviously if he’s not feeling well don’t play him, but they’ve partnered with all of the sports betting sites and have fully embraced it, so to not say anything before kickoff is a very bad look. They’re suspending players for betting to “send an example” or whatever so it’s only fair to punish the teams too. I know I sound like I’m being salty but the league I have him in isn’t even a money league lol, I can’t imagine what the people who dump tons of money into this shit are saying

On one hand, I do think there is something to be said about trying to maintain a competitive advantage over your opponent

On the other, I know teams are required by the league to issue injury reports, which teams do include illnesses on. And, like you mentioned, with all the betting partnerships the league have, it’s not a great look.

The fact he wasnt listed on their game day report at all, when surely he had to be ill by that point, is how the NFL will crack down. Its not like he magically fell ill between 11:30am and game time...he literally timelined it as "didn't feel well on flight Saturday, didn't sleep well overnight, woke up not feeling well."

like, of all the bad teams, I think the Chargers are maybe the only example you could really make that the HC is the issue. perhaps Arthur Smith as well but, he was also given Desmond Ridder.
