Stoked for RDR2, wondering if that means it's a direct sequel or they just wanted to keep the naming consistent. Would be odd if the former, as a big theme of RDR1 was the "taming" of the wild west/end of the American frontier. But whatever, I'm sure anything they put out will be great

 

Could be a prequel following Marstons gang

 

Mafia 3 is a better stealth game than Deus Ex MD

 

Man, I hate this whole early game release trend thing because I'm the person they are aiming after because I don't have patience when it comes to wanting to play lol. I already see my hours dwindling on EA early access for BF1 and can see myself getting early enlister lol

 

I've been casually browsing the internet for the past few hours but I'm only now realizing that RDR2 was announced and not just speculation.

Really excited for Red Dead!! The single player in the previous one has had some of my favorite moments in video gaming. As a big fan of GTA Online (and the RDR mult) I'm excited to see what they'll be able to bring in to the game.

I don't know why they went with Red Dead Redemption 2. It just feels lazy. I get it from a business or brand standpoint, but creatively, lazy. Hoping the trailer either reveals another title or at least a subtitle.

 

Here we go with all the hate of the name. Possibly the most requested sequel ever but we are upset about the name?! I think there is more buzz on the internet about the name than the fact that they announced a new game. Will it stop you from playing it? I think not! Lmao!

Also, preorders are up on Amazon.

Going to wait on preorder to see what collector's edition gets announced. SO READY FOR MORE RED DEAD

 

I never said I wasn't playing it haha. they could name it whatever they want, I'm still playing it. Red Dead Redemption is one of my favorite games ever. but I'm allowed to say that I think they could have come up with a better name. I'm not a fan personally of just slapping a number 2 on a sequel, doesn't lessen my enjoyment of something.

and when you have something like Red Dead Revolver, Red Dead Redemption, you kind of wonder what the next name will be and don't expect a 2 haha. but again, will still be playing this day of, probably taking a long weekend of work for it.

 

It was definitely the smart thing to do.

 

Cant wait for GTA Vice City 2 and GTA San Andreas 2 or maybe GTA V 2

 

I think Final Fantasy will wear the crown for the most "original" game titles.

 

Fallout 4 was a pretty lazy name. Are we still getting a Dragon Age 3? BioShock 3? Is Andromeda supposed to be Mass Effect 4? Then there's Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Arkham Origins, Arkham Knight. Batman game 1, 2, 0, 3.

 

I'm not sure what my point was.

Names are funny.

It definitely is weird to put a number ed sequel considering Redemption IS a sequel itself. You would think if they were cognizant enough to not do it the first time around they wouldn't the 2nd time but it's whatever I'll likely still play it.
