For anyone who may be unaware, there are some allegations that Mac once filmed a friend drunkenly masturbating at a party where minors may have been present. Additionally, he has had collaborative relationships with Alex Calder and Jon Lent, both of whom have their own allegations that are worth looking into, although Mac claims those relationships ended as soon as he was made aware of them. It's up to you whether you feel comfortable listening or not; I don't feel he has ever maliciously put anyone in danger, although I do wish he would be better about addressing these things when they happen.

All that being said, I am still a fan and wanted to put together a thread for those who do still enjoy his music where they can discuss the album (as well as navigating the above allegations). While he does seem to be winding down and uninterested in touring anytime soon, it appears he has given up drinking and smoking among other vices, and he seems to be in a good place. Happy for him. The vibes on the album are really, really pleasant.

  3. Neil Young vibes. Really, really enjoying it. I enjoyed HCTC as well, but I think there's a little more going on here with the instrumentation (as there should be considering it's an instrumental record).

Yeah, good little record, this. Like a more chilled Tommy Guerrero.

  5. Recommendations to other albums like this? Been listening to it a bunch while I work. Have not checked out Tommy Guerrero, so I'll start there.

I wish I could get more into this one. Did everyone enjoy this from the start, or was it a grower for y’all?

  7. I enjoyed it from the start (which, I was surprised just because not all of his demos albums have stuck with me, and that's what I was equating this with at first). See my comment above, I just think there's a lot more going on in these arrangements than there was on HCTC and that seems to separate it from the rest of his discography in a positive way for me.

  11. Probably not much of a point in making a new thread, but new 199-track album of demos from the past five years lol. Nine and a half hours of music. Gonna listen through in pieces during work today/over the weekend and the probably just shuffle it on work days when I need to vibe or when I'm playing Zelda.

  13. The demos are cool, I’m diggin the few I’ve listened to so far.

  14. Which Zelda are you playing?

  15. Still just playing Breath of the Wild all the time. And the music is already great, but I don't mind throwing on stuff like this in the background to vibe to occasionally.

  17. Vinyl just came in and it's a lovely package, gatefold, heavy vinyl. Honestly one of my favorites of the year so far, so chill
