Blink-182 – The Zane Lowe Interview

Not much that isn’t already out there but a really pleasant watch.

 

Great interview. I'm insanely excited for the new album

 

Is it just me or did Tom sound like he was swallowing a lump of cry a few times? I know I did.

 

I wanted more juicy details but I get why he didn’t push for more.

 

I kinda just wanted to hear Tom say he was scared he was going to lose Mark when he was sick. I know it’s likely a given but I would have balled.

but it was made pretty clear that Toms marriage(personal life) was the reason for most of the conflict.

 

I didn't pick up on that, but maybe it's because I was multitasking. To me it seemed he mostly just that he wanted to branch out and succeed on his own, but also in other ways. After Mark's diagnosis he snapped back and later came to realize this is actually what he loves the most and now he's here to stay.

 

Tom's marriage played a big role in it.

 

Tom mentioned the "divorce" once, and "personal stuff" a couple of times. Mark mentioned Tom had personal stuff going on as well...I'd have to listen to it back but from memory it seemed like Mark was saying he didn't know about Toms home life so his reactions to Toms behavior...could have been different?(inferring a lot here)

I agree, they both said they wanted to see if they could be successful without one another--apparently that's a thing some men need to do.

And it seems travis was able to get Mark and Tom to sound like how Jerry Finn had them sounding.
