I mean, I was skeptical about Tom coming back considering I really didn't enjoy the last album and EP they made with him as much as I wanted, nor have I really enjoyed any of his other work in the past 20 years. This album is well above any of that though so it's cool with me lol

 

They had to do it.

No way they were coming back as these 3 with a distant/broken/half-assed album.

I'm still fucking astounded I'm 33 and getting excited for a blink-182 album like I'm 13. Fucking insane.

I’m starting to think Alkaline Trio dropped their song yesterday to ride some of the blink hype. Genius if true.

I was in the same boat. Their last 2 releases with Tom were, for me, nowhere near the level of nearly everything that came before, and the overwhelming majority of AVA’s catalogue does nothing for me.

 

I have never felt something in my soul more than this.

Was not expecting an interlude to be that good. Love the hint of AVA.

Album rules. I’d say it leans more towards Untitled than TOYPAJ, but it’s really its own thing. Blown away.

Just finished Anthem and holy shit, they came out swinging.

 

Hot take, Hurt works as a little intro before anthem too.

 

You get through the first half of this album and think, “wow they crushed it how could it get better?”

Then it does haha

 

Beautiful record. Childhood is my early frontrunner.

 

It's sunny outside and I'm sitting here listening and just feeling grateful.

Fell In Love is great. Chorus is so catchy. Sure it's one of the "weaker" songs on the album but I really like it.

 

I wonder if they add any more new songs to their set this weekend in vegas? Could you imagine if they play Anthem Pt 2 into Pt 3? Bonkers.
