Zane interview was great. The closest thing we will ever get to those old VH1 Behind The Music docs. Just wish it was longer.

 

Really awesome interview. The Jerry Finn part was something special too.

 

But also, at the same time, he asked them very personal/uncomfortable questions that most people wouldn’t touch (and most interviewers wouldn’t have the relationship with the band to be able to appropriately ask anyway). So it wasn’t like he was JUST blindly praising them haha

 

I say this every single time I preorder an album but....why do I preorder albums?! At this point I almost wish I could cancel my Mark variant which still hasn't shipped so I can just pick it up from the store on Friday.

Alright more people are chiming in with spoilers... one big takeaway was something I had a suspicion about when people (mostly reddit) were complaining about the lack of interviews/media/accessibility . They wanted to do the band again on their own terms... no random interviews/press with every outlet asking for access, no awkward meet & greets, play where/when they want to play.

 

As definitive as an interview as you could have. 10/10.

Right that's the "Great anecdotes and good questions" part. He is very tactful and thoughtful. One of my favorite interviewers. He is leaps and bounds ahead of some of the other dudes who do it and have access to the biggest bands. Stryker would be an example of similar energy but not nearly as effective.

 

Wanted to hit replay immediately. That felt therapeutic. so good.

Loved the interview. Beyond fucking ready for this album, now just hoping they announce that tour for next year.

 

Amen to that! I was in the process of moving in June/July and missed out on this tour :/. I hope they keep the momentum going and put something on the radar for late '24 or early '25.

Yooo when did they put enema on Apple Music in Dolby? This is blowing my mind lol

 

It's been there for awhile now. I've tried getting into it on airpods, but it doesn't sound as good as other Dolby songs on Apple Music. Maybe it sounds better on a good speaker system though.

 

TOYPAJ as well. Sounds incredible on my Mac Studio Display.

 

New song is great! Very NINE but that bridge/chorus/outro is straight up +44!!!!

 

I don’t really hear the Nine comparisons, but I also don’t hate against the comparison since I love Nine.
