Great song. I love the kind of softer vibe with this one. I'm not really getting any particular album's vibe with this one, just sounds like blink to me lol. Glad to finally have a Mark-led track though!

What concern? Who is concerning? Who said I don't enjoy +44?

Song’s good. I’m 5/6 with the singles so far (Fell In Love fell a little flat for me) so I’m hyped.

They're playing some interview right now about YDKWYG with Zayne on Apple music rn. Can't rewind which is lame.

  8. I can't believe they've made something together again that is this fucking good...

Even if the rest of the album is trash, all the songs they've released so far are better than anything on Neighborhoods and DED. It's great having classic Tom back and not just space Tom.

When I hear things, sometimes my brain goes, “oh! This reminds me of X.” I hope I’m not the only one who experiences this phenomena.

  12. ranking anything above Dude Ranch, Enema, TOYPAJ, and Untitled would be impossible for me since those albums hold such core emotional attachment for me. i don't know what an album would have to do to squeeze itself above any of those.

so i agree with Atticus' ranking haha

If someone tells me that a new song sounds like an album I do not like, I think it's natural that I'd be a little worried haha

  18. exactly haha

those 4 albums are kind of just locked in their little box for me, and then everything that's come out since then has their own place that's split off from those ones.

You came in bitching about something so small and irrelevant for no reason. Which most of us do at times. Just move on.

    For those who missed:

    - Travis wrote the hook. Thought about it writing about blink, what blink really experiences, rather than a popular/single type song
    - Mark wrote all the verses
    - Tom: It encapsulates what Mark has went through, what the band went through, we're so blessed and grateful to have this, and it's Mark saying he's so blessed and grateful to have his life here, to experience it.
    - Zayn reiterates it's their best album and stands by it

Eh, I’d put Nine over Dude Ranch. But I do think this album is shaping up to boot Dude Ranch out of the top 5.

This song for whatever reason might have had the best initial reaction from me out of all of these singles. Just such a powerful, yet quintessential, blink song. Emotional but also easy to listen to.

Amazing song. I really appreciate grounded and detailed lyrics from them, as opposed to writing around general ideas like love

  25. "Dammit" was the first Blink song I'd ever heard. I caught the last minute or so of its music video one night, but it never said who it was or the song's name or anything. And it was before I could just Google the lyrics to find out. So I just moved on and never heard it again, although the hook was stuck in my head for a long time after that.

Then I heard "What's My Age Again?" by a band called Blink-182, and that changed my life. And I counted down the days until Enema came out. They became my favorite band immediately. After I wore that CD out, I went backwards through their discography, starting with Dude Ranch. On the cover, it had a hype sticker saying it contained "Dammit (Growing Up)" and I was like "Wait a minute... Could that be THE song I saw the video for a couple years ago???" and I put the CD in, jumped right to track 3, and BAM! It was THE song I'd been dying to hear a second time for like 2 years. It felt like fate.

Enema and Dude Ranch will always be connected, to me, because of that memory.
