A spontaneous text from my recently engaged friend sent to a specific group of friends asking to go to Treehouse on a Tuesday a week after his fiancé asked her bridesmaids and days after asking one of our friends to be the officiant?

 

I have few irl friends so my groomsmen were basically decided 6 years ago

 

Low key bummed he wasn't in mine. We had 5 each in our wedding party and I already have 2 older brothers and my wife has a brother, so I could only choose 2 friends and it was pretty obvious to everyone who the 2 would be. I did tell him he would have been the next choice and he came up the night before and hung with all of us. And one of my groomsmen got super sick days before and was questionable, so I told him he was my backup groomsmen and I swear I've never seen anyone more happy lol

 

I got married in 2009. I've spoken to exactly 2 of my groomsmen in the last 5 years. And one of them is my brother.
