I think this song is a ton of fun. All of these songs are just full of nostalgia and make me feel young again, and that's exactly what I want from blink. Too bad this wasn't released in time for summer, as it's shaping up to be the perfect album to drive around with the windows down and the music loud.

Maybe it’s just me but in 03 they truly progressed and still were blink, just matured. I hope there is more substance to this album than the singles, besides one more time of course.

17 songs. not all will be great. I don’t mind it. lyrically not great but it’s very poppy and airy. Feels like it belongs in a netflix rom com.

imo all of the songs have been… not great. musically, acceptable pop rock with catchy melodies, but the lyrics are absolutely terrible.

i know their lyrics were never very good, but these are particularly bad. especially when considering they’re all hovering around 50.

i’m assuming the co-writers assisted with the music/melodies rather than the lyrics.

With all due respect if you are setting your expectations for blink lyrics based on their age I think you are missing the point of blink. Or at least the direction they want to go in.

Yeah some of the lyrics definitely come off as pandering. These guys never used co-writers on albums like Enema and TOYPAJ right? I don't mind bands using them but I feel like they're capable songwriters on their own. Even the 20 second joke songs off the new album have co-writers lol

They definitely did a lot of cowriting with Jerry Finn anyways

Easy Target and who knows what else on Untitled literally exist because of Jerry Finn lol

And in 2023 producers get writing credits

Music, a steady riot in my soul. Prestigious

My first thought was that it reminded me of The Cure, and then I see Robert Smith listed as a co-writer.

I’m actually so glad I read the comments on here first as it set my expectations low and I thought I was going to hate it.

Sure, it’s not the best of the songs they’ve released so far and may possibly be the weakest, but I like it. I can see it as a fun filler song on the album. Simple but catchy.

My one gripe is that the na na’s needed a Tom “hey” or something at the end!

i guess i just expected -slightly- more mature lyrics. it feels like they’re really leaning into the adolescent schtick. i must be missing the point, and that’s okay. i know not everything is for me.

as far as i know, Travis produced the album. they worked with co-writers beyond the production team. Ryan Tedder, Nick Long, and Robert Smith have credits on this song.

Well yes so he already has a writing credit. If they had had an outside producer, they would've had a songwriting credit on every song just like Feldmann did.

    Better than you, sorry

No way. I always wanted them to work with Ryan Tedder. This song is such a let down, especially now knowing this information. I would hope we would get a blink version of Good Life or Secrets. Damn. Damn.

    damnit

I don’t think ghost writers were uncommon. My understanding is that writers/producers are, rightfully, getting songwriting credit when they didn’t before. Ever wonder why NFG has sounded bad for literally every non-major label release? Lol
It’s kinda funny… blink fans on the internet always told me that the na nas were all John Feldmann’s fault. But here we are!
