we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

I'm always down for more b-sides/acoustic tracks.

I thought I saw Adam tweet at somebody and say there were no b-sides, that everything ended up on the record.

Bummer. Maybe a full acoustic version? That would be sick!

of the b-sides i think "can you feel that" would've fit best on the album, and i really wish it were on there, but also i wouldn't trade any of the other songs lol

It's so good. Took a minute to grow on me but I'm hooked, and after seeing it in full live my liking of this album was enhanced even more

Haven't had much time to talk on here but this show was fantastic, couldn't hear you blew it much if at all but mammoth indigo was a great mood setter. The no encore was lame, the no Eddie was sad. The pins and stickers were good merch though. Was in front of John the whole night and finally met a chorus member!

Yes it was a great night. Being that close to John and Adam was fantastic and getting to high five Adam was a huge plus. We had discussed You Blew It's audio idk what was going on with their vocals. But TBS did fantastic, and mammoth indigo was impressive. And my friend and the security guards banter was hilarious

I had begun to love the songs before the live performance, but seeing them playing the songs and hos good they sounded made my liking of them go from a 7 to a 10

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

Just listened to this album again in the car. I'm still loving it. This is slowly creeping up in my TBS record ranking.

I'm on a high from the other night still but I'm torn between listening to tidal wave and shuffling their older stuff. I can't decide!

Pretty great show last night. The new stuff sounds great live and it was my first time getting to see them do "My Blue Heaven" and "Flicker Fade"

I was listening to Crime in Stereo's I was Trying to Describe You To Someone, and realized that they have a song named "Drugwolf". That was produced by Mike Sapone, too. Not sure if there's too much of a connection there, but just thought it was interesting. Also, that album is really good.

Those live videos of Tidal Wave sound so darn good, too. Very cool.

I'm really glad they were able to work with Mike Sapone again on Happiness Is and Tidal Wave. I'm sure after working in a huge studio with Eric Valentine at their prime, it can be humbling to go back to a smaller studio in the southern woods, but I think Mike really does well with their sound and helps them make the best music they can.

Album has continued to grow on me. Louder Now still holds #1 for me and probably always will, but this may be my second or third favorite album from tbs.

On a side note, I never really listened to New Again, but I've tried listening to it this past week and it's not terrible. Actually can't get the first four songs out of my head and I'm loving the heavy vibe it has. Summer, Man has been on repeat for the last day.

It's my lowest ranked album of theirs but it's still a decent CD. I'll still go back to it for EMG, Catholic, Lonely, Summer, and Capital

  23. Judging from setlist.fm, half of S/T is rarely or has never been played live, which is surprising for a comeback record.

Fan response to the songs live can change a lot. Senses Fail and Story of the Year also come to mind as bands that don't play some of their best songs because of crowd favorites :tear:

I'd love if they could play without such a focus on the first three albums, but I know that will never happen because they're largely a nostalgia act. Unfortunately, because I think they got better with time.
