This was definitely a formative moment for teenage me. It was one of the first times I was like, "Wait ... maybe we're not the good guys?"

 

Is there a way to make the Following feed more like the For You feed in that it’s more like the algorithm highlighting things that have been getting more attention, but limited specifically to the people you follow? I hate how my Following feed is always just the most recent posts — it makes it functionally useless because I follow a lot of people and I never see stuff that’s actually important.

As much as the algorithm can suck, it at least inevitably brings the most important stuff to my attention by virtue of other people paying attention to it

 

Speaking of Twitter, this new PBS Frontline documentary about musk is HILARIOUS. Dude really got shook at the Super Bowl that his tweet for the Eagles wasn't getting as much engagement as Biden's similar tweet, and at 230AM called in 80 engineers to change the algorithm to boost his tweets.
