Fell in Love and When We Were Young. (Dropping WWWY so they get a crowd pop for the fest date/song debut) For real though it would be kind of rad if they just play the new record front to back that day.

do we still like Simple Creatures or are they tainted by association

Super pumped for the Zane interview. Really enjoy a lot of his interviews and the fact that they are long. Just not sure I want to watch it Wednesday or after I ehar the entire album Friday. Anyone else been holding back on listening to the singles? I obviously heard Edging (a zillion times in the last year) and dabbled with One More Time a handful of times (loved it,) but holding off on listening to any of the other released songs. I want this entire album to feel new. My problem with Lifeforms was 60% of it was released in advance as singles and by the time the album was released, I wasnt too excited cause it only like 4 songs I never heard.

 

I haven't listened to Simple Creatures since whenever the second EP came out. Never been crazy about Alex as it is and the ATL stuff def doesn't help

 

I'm with you. I've played Edging a ton, One More Time a handful of times, and that's it. Holding out until release day.

Yep. I'm planning on doing a couple late-night album run-throughs on Thursday and then all-day Friday. Then I'll watch the interview after I get home from work on Friday.

 

I loved both of those EP's (and Mark's pop sensibilities shining prominently) and was so excited for a full album, but after the ATL stuff, my opinion of Alex shifted significantly. Not sure I'd like seeing Mark work with him again. With that said, I still enjoy those EP's for what they are.

 

I can’t speak for everyone, but I still like them. Not my place to make up other people’s minds

 

It wont actually happen, but based on their sets it is safe to say we get 3-6 new songs at WWWY

I remember when neighborhoods came out everyone was so upset that “mark was hardly on it”

 

I’m just making sure I don’t burn myself out on the new songs and just enjoy them occasionally. It’s not too hard since there was barely over a month between the first two singles and the album (and obviously less time with the next few). No way I’m going to overplay a song two days before the album drops.

 

It's alright if it's Tom heavy since the songs are good and this is the only Tom album from the last 20 years I would go out of my way to listen to lol
