Not really. I don't see these folks cheering on Israel or saying "that's what they get for _____" when IDF soldiers shoot folks in Gaza or whatever else lol. They mostly just carry on with life or, if they do by chance actually see it reported in the news (they hardly do as I mentioned), that's when you start hearing the "we need a ceasefire/peace talks/etc"

 

I don't agree. The default response is "that's what terrorists get"

 

The normies have never been on the side of anti-colonial struggle. Im afraid this might have to be done without their approval.

Correct, I don't count conservatives and zionists as normies, especially on this topic lol. The cons have been bloodthirsty from the minute the attack was reported and of course show no remorse in times of relatively "peaceful" relations in Israel.

I would like to refer to that Carlin bit that I posted when talking about normies. The wording of the news reporting and what even gets reported is not even close to the same.

I mean I try to stay up on as much news as I can and missed when the IDF was pouring concrete on water wells that was just two weeks ago.

 

Most normies I see that have spoken on this issue have Israel flags in their profile pic or post something like Israel must defend itself against terrorism. I don’t think there has ever been a good faith effort to look at Israel critically by these folks

Damn, I want these people to have water but I don’t like the cut of their religious jib so I have to out of purely religion and religion alone.

 

Anecdotal, but I live by these very liberal upper class garden homes that are historical landmarks and are lived in by mostly white liberals who have BLM signs, love is love in this house we believe science in blah blah signs, tax the rich signs, Ukraine flags, a fuckin NATO flag, but never a Palestinian flag. Hmm.

 

Remember how Hamas won the Christian minority vote in the Gaza Strip? Sounds like they have the popular mandate

Which is why you're gonna get a lot of "support Israel" now and then a week from now or a few days from now when videos come out of the Israeli offensive and dead bodies and etc, you'll get a lot of "I just want peace" "negotiate a ceasefire" etc...a lot of milquetoast stuff from folks who know little and less of foreign conflict

That's why if I can get people right now who are willing to acknowledge Israel's role in everything right now, I'll take it as a win. Again I could be wrong because I was just a teenager in the mid 2000s but it certainly seems way more acceptable to say that and more people overall seem to at least acknowledge that than in years passed.

 

When this statement is more correct than anything any left politician has stated in this country.

Well, yes. Basically every action, armed or not, is on direct action to Israeli occupation

 

He is one the most hated people by the right wing in Israel which should tell you a lot about his character. The world needs more people like him.
