(Not trying to start a song ranking but...) This might be my least favorite of the four out so far, but it is still a solid song and still probably the catchiest yet. God I can't wait to hear the whole album.

By far, the best single released off of this. It’s also funny how this sounds absolutely nothing like the Box Car Racer version.

Yeah... now wondering if this is even it or they just used the title and completely re-wrote the song with the sex song concept.

 

I think it’s the latter. Feels like they took the title and theme and threw everything else out, which is fine. The new song rules and Tom doesn’t need to be devoted to a song he wrote 20 years ago.

 

I don’t like this song at all so far, but still happy to see others do. Just feels really meh to me. Will keep listening and maybe something will click.

 

This was unbelievably great. Like, it’s too good. Production. Harmonies. Structure. It’s a ducking A.

I’m seriously in a little shock. Tom was right for once: it’s definitely gonna be one of their best works.

 

And overall vibe… This bitter sweet nostalgia for something you can’t put into words.

Eh, fun song, Tom sounds the best he has in quite a long time and I really like the last 30 seconds the most but... the chorus isn't good.

I'd still be interested in hearing the original BCR demo.

For me, MTYK is still the best so far.

I love the song. As a spanish speaker, I would love to know the reason behind the "olé"s haha. Also, the masturbation line (not a fan) at the beginning reminds me of the "my pants are off right now" from Toast and Bananas, which I love

 

this song rips! One listen for me (like the previous songs) until the album comes.

 

Today I learned

 

Dance With Me is infectious. Love that chorus.

 

Better than Tom’s AvA “Ay-yo oh-yay oh way-oh”s.

 

I also decided to check out the BCR song after the earlier mention of it and... people wanted a studio version of that thing? I mean, I love BCR, but that was dog doodoo. Then I listened to Mandy and that was even worse. What the hell.

 

I'm sure some people with think the oles are cheap but those people hate fun.

 

BCR's DWM was obviously an unfinished song that they added to fill time to their set, and Mandy was a cover.

 

The oles suck and ruin the song. Seriously, a decade apart and they can't write better lyrics?

My optimism for this album is dead. Glad to see others are more positive about it. I just hope it comes with tour dates.

 

You're going to see them live and you'll be the loudest one screaming the "Dance With Me" chorus. Just watch.

 

Man its so wild to see the boys pull something like this out after all these years. Who knew they still had it in them?? Sooooo freaking catchy.

After a couple listens you really start to appreciate the production on this song too. Travis really outdid himself, there's so much going on in the mix to digest.

It reminded me of this video from Rick Beato breaking down All The Small Things and highlighting all of Jerry's brilliance. Sonically, Dance with Me fits right in with the Enema/TOYPJ era and I could not be happier.

October 20th is going to be so so special.
