I wonder who is going to open TPFI tour or if it’s going to be like “an evening with Claudio” type of event.

Coheed lore, when all we had to go off of were lyrics, was a real wild time. I remember thinking Cobalt hid the best stuff behind their paywall, but I was too young/poor to pay for something like that.

Saw them in Birmingham Friday night. Special night for me, it was son's first concert ever. Had me feeling a lot of feelings around this band, nostalgia, and just being grateful to still have my favorite band touring and making new albums after loving them for close to 20 years.

He liked it! He's only two and a half, but likes Coheed, especially A Disappearing Act. Unfortunately he didn't last long enough to see that one, got tired around Mother Superior but was loving it until he got tired. He LOVES Turnstile though, and we're going to see them at Furnace Fest in a few weeks, and I'm guessing he'll go wild at that one, haha.

Man I can't wait for that stage hahah, going to be so fun.

So awesome to see the bands we loved be passed down like that. Happy you both had a good time, have a blast at Furnace Fest!

I was there too! I've now caught all 4 of their Neverender tours. First 3 in ATL and now this one in Bham. I love Avondale as a venue. They were having fun up there for sure but mostly they were all business. I like it when Claudio messed up the lyrics on The Reaping. "you know what I'm trying to say" haha.

Very cool for your kid. The screen visuals we sweet. Ditto on the longevity and continued quality of this band.

I don't want anything spoiled for me, but does anyone know if their current Vaxis II encore is the same this leg as it was earlier in the year?

Yeah Avondale is great. Surprisingly my first show there, my wife went to Bleachers a couple years back and loved it. That part of Birmingham also has Saturn, which is a wildly unique venue if you've never been. the room outside the room where the stage is has a vintage arcade vibe to go with the bar. Tons of old video game consoles and pinball machines. They also have a airbnb upstairs that bands can stay in when they come through town that is super cool.

It was notable how little Claudio said. We got a little blurb from Travis and that was about it, but yeah, the band seems very business-like these days.

Also, I kick myself for missing GA Neverender. I'm sure I felt like I didn't have the money/time to drive to Atlanta, but it's one of the few shows I really regret missing since GA is my favorite album.

    I believe so.

Saturn is awesome! I’ve seen Japandoids and then Menzingers there.

GA is def top Coheed album for me for sure. All the other shows at Tabernacle for them I was on the floor. But for GA me and the girl I went with sat in the balcony on the side, since last time I sat there I could see great. This time though the people in front of us were huge and we couldn’t see amazing. But, it was still a good time.

I saw them again last night, and they sounded as good as I can remember in 19 years of seeing them. That said, aside from the actual music it was one of my worst concert experiences ever. I do not like crowds, and despite situating myself in the far back corner to try my best to avoid other people, some lady spilled her beer all over me.

I’m so glad I saw these at the merch booth today. I’ve been wanting them for a while. They’re pretty much novellas with lots of illustrations and concept art.

  14. I’m curious, do these copies have a list of supporters names in the back? The hardcovers that came with album preorders did. I’ve wondered if they trimmed those out for the paperbacks.

Seeing the boys tonight. Took my wife to her first Coheed show last year and she fell in love. This will be her first as a full-fledged fan.

Mentioned this in the vinyl thread, but in 04-05 before you could watch youtube sets of every band on earth, that live cd/dvd was a gamechanger for me. turned Coheed from a band I liked into one of my favorites, and I'll always love it for that. Definitely plan on picking it up.

I'll get it because I'm a completionist, but I wish they'd do a newer live release. This one is obviously easy because it already exists (like 95% of RSD stuff), but Claudio's live vocals have improved markedly since this show.
