FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Love the choruses on both but the verses were always super lacking to me

  2. There's a lot of stuff about California I like and a lot that I don't like.
There's a lot of stuff about Nine that I like and less that I don't like.

I'm just hoping the new album continues the trend of having a lot of stuff that I like and less stuff that I don't like.

I’m just sad that the two new blink songs have no staying power. Like. I don’t have the urge to listen to them.

  4. There's a couple bridges that are really cool. That's about as deeps as my thoughts go on CA DLX.

  5. You seem to be in the minority there:

  6. If California and Nine had made a baby together and created CaliforNine and it looked something like this, I'd be very happy:

    1. Cynical
    2. Bored to Death
    3. Darkside
    4. Rabbit Hole
    5. Pin the Grenade
    6. Built This Pool
    7. The Only Thing That Matters
    8. She's Out of Her Mind
    9. No Heart to Speak Of
    10. Heaven
    11. Sober
    12. Generational Divide
    13. Left Alone
    14. San Diego
    15. Black Rain
    16. On Some Emo Shit

I’ll just listen to both albums in full.

  8. I'd prefer to just listen to Nine in full. Except I really don't like "The First Time" and "Happy Days." I can't listen to California in full, especially with the deluxe tacked on. Speaking of repetitive...

  10. Don't love it. I'm pretty strict, since if 33% of the album is "liked" then it gets moved to a special "loved albums" playlist that I keep pretty curated.

More than you know is 1000x better than OMT on relistens.

How many ways can you tell us you don’t like this album without saying it out right?

    Nine is good
    California is good

California deluxe is the only thing close to a real dumpster fire in their catalog.

California Deluxe is the only part of that era I don't really go back to because of that repetitiveness. Lots of things that are somewhat minor complaints about California (na na's, songs jampacked with vocals instead of guitar riffs, same derivative guitar riff used over and over, weird nasally-sounding distorted guitars) turn into annoyances when the number of songs with those issues are doubled.

I'm usually all for hearing everything that didn't make the cut, but that was one instance I felt a little burnt out on. I still love the regular version of California though.

This is a damn fine cup of coffee.

There's no way Tom hasn't thought about a Part 2 to Aliens Exist. He kinda already made a tee about it. This is from that Hollywood Reporter interview he did:

    -----
"The trailer for Monsters of California features an a cappella version of Blink-182’s “Aliens Exist,” and if a song ever warranted a part two, à la Box Car Racer’s “Letters to God” or Blink’s “Anthem,” it’s that one. Have you considered it at all?

TD: Not until this moment, but maybe I need to. I wonder what kind of song that should be or what it should sound like, but I’m not opposed to it. Maybe it should be a fast song where you scream, “Run! Run!” That’s all it’s going to say. (Laughs.)

Or the lyric “Tom was right” is repeated over and over again.

    TD: Yeah! Just loop that."

I love Hey I'm Sorry and Misery. I like Last Train Home and Long Lost Feeling. I like 6/8 mostly for Skiba's yelling and the hilarious stuff he's yelling.

Hi guys, it's your favourite Bavarian, here to objectively settle this once and for all:

    1. Nine
    2. California
    3. Neighborhoods (aka the incoherent mixtape).

Also i am sure OMT will be better than those three.

Also No Heart to Speak of is a top 10 blink song.

    Thanks, byeeeee.
