This (more or less). I did enjoy Nine though. It's so much better than California.

And I want to add: Green Day has sucked for a really long time.

Also: I never could get into +44 back in the day (and I really tried, but I was more of a Tom guy then). This morning I listened to WYHSB and holy shit, what an album

For some reason I thought Dance With Me was premiering today so I got up for nothing

I tuned this thread out once all the TBS talk started and now I'm lost lol. Did Jason hear the album already or is he just trolling the Nine haters?

And that's why you always leave a note.

Honestly, I think there's a really solid record in Nine. The problem for me is just the length - too much filler. If they pared it down to ten, maybe eleven songs, it would be great.

Jason has heard all Fall releases and said TBS has made the best record.

I actually wouldn’t mind if this thread was locked and limited to only quoting VEEP insults until Dance With Me is released

  14. Today’s topic of conversation: are the Ramones overrated? A lil bit?

    enjoy.

I'm convinced he hasn't heard the entire new blink album since it doesn't show up on his last.fm :eh:

My Brain is Hanging Upside Down is one of my favorites though. School of Rock has one of the best music montage scenes of all time and that's why that song rocks.

I appreciate them for the transitional step to punk rock they were, but I won’t go out of my way to listen to them either.

I don’t think their influence can be understated, which can be separated from the quality and consistency of their output. After End of the Century there’s a lot less I’m into but I do love mostly everything through that

  21. The Ramones really only have those 3 great albums. Their first 3. It always makes me double-take when I see that they released 14 full length albums though haha. The majority of them aren't good.

In terms of influence though, there's no denying that they were very influential to the punk bands that followed.

I think The Ramones heavily influenced the late 70s/80s punk stuff the same way that Descendents influenced the late 80s/90s punk stuff.

    Naked in Manhattan.

Agreed. Their catalog as a whole leaves much to be desired.. but their greatest hits album is an all-time greatest hits album.

I like Howling at the Moon a lot. Maybe that’s their best post-EOTC song. I think End of the Century has great songs. Danny Says, Chinese Rock, Baby I Love You, Rock & Roll High School. After that it’s tough goings

  24. There's been times where I've almost done a full discography run, but then I remind myself that the vast majority of it won't be good, so I scare myself out of actually doing it haha.

Each album is only 30 minutes long aren't they?
