PA has liquor stores and beer stores separately. It is so dumb

 

PA also has a ton of BYO establishments though, and that rules.

I was starting to feel bad for the Oklahoma jokes but now I'm afraid we haven't been mean enough

 

it is so annoying because they arent even in the same shopping centers, at least near me.

 

Colorado has/had it to where you could only buy like 4% alcohol at a non-liquor store

 

im used to beer and liquor being sold separately but theres a liquor store in nearly every shopping center so, its never too much of a burden.

 

for like, an entire season i thought the supermarket was just always sold out of high noons because i didnt realize they have vodka in them so i have to buy them exclusively at a liquor store lol

 

BIG same. It’s so frustrating. These days I either opt for nooners or beer because it’s so inconvenient to do both

PA(Philly area?) is just starting to let beer and wine be sold in grocery stores the last few years

ive noticed many more convenience stores sell beer in western pa. in east you basically just have a small handful of wawas and maybe sheetz if youre near lancaster and thats it iirc.

most frustrating thing about it though is our liquor selection suffers greatly because of it. my mind was blown last time I went out west i was able to buy a bottle of buffalo trace in a target
