    The rivalry is back on

someone always bails the team with a regrettable QB contract out - it’s not like they can’t just dump Mr Dimes’ 1/$40M on whichever team is too mid to win with their current QB but also too mid to replace their QB with a good one in the draft (Atlanta? New England?) if they can get a good one this draft season

someone is gonna take Kyler and someone would take Daniel if the Giants made him available

you know who isn't getting bailed out? Denver. 140m in dead gap between Russ, McGlinchey, and Zach Allen

I think there’s a lot wrong with the Giants right now, but Daniel Jones is the biggest problem and it’s obvious that they should have franchise tagged him. Even if they weren’t going to commit to Saquon long-term, they could have given him a lucrative one-year deal.

I’ll also add that I believe it’s absolutely difficult to wade through purgatory year in and year out. Sometimes you have to get lucky and be bad at the right time to find your guy. Or maybe you can attempt at creating your own luck by trading up for a QB you really believe in like the Chiefs and Bills did with Mahomes and Allen.

Seeing Jones finally have a decent year and give him a multi-year extension is not the move though.

And because Stafford was specifically brought up, I think he’s a good example of a good, not elite, QB that won a super bowl. It’s also worth remembering that sometimes you just get really lucky and get hot at the right time when going to the super bowl. Stafford had major INT problems that season. In fact, I think he led the league in pick-sixes thrown in his own territory.

But Stafford made a god-mode play at the end of the Bucs game to win that game before Brady pulled off another massive comeback win. Then, Stafford got really lucky that Jimmie Ward didn’t secure an INT thrown right at him that would have sent the Niners to the super bowl instead.

Sometimes going to a winning the super bowl isn’t about if you are an elite QB, or even a good one. I mean, Nick Foles won the Eagles their first super bowl ever go birds. I think you increase your odds of going to a super bowl if you have a legitimately great QB, but you can go to one and even win one with a good QB if everything falls into the right place for you.

Most liquor laws are antiquated, at best.

not sure how it is in other states but Oklahoma's had some old liqour laws just now start coming off the books. liquor stores used to be forced to close on Sundays until like 3 years ago

Last I drank in Texas (which was over 4 years ago), liquor stores were forced to close on Sundays so I imagine we probably have like all the same laws related to liquor

I'm sure I've said it before too (because it's insane to me) Oklahoma was the last state to legalize tattooing, in 2006

I remember one of my foster parents driving down to Wichita Falls just to get a tattoo in 2003 or so

I'm still a little surprised that the state even allows medical weed. the recreational vote failed last year like 60-40

youre not supposed to sell alcohol before noon on Sundays in NY but nobody follows that. Liquor stores just open at noon, but 711's, gas stations, super markets, etc. will sell anything.

I know in Oklahoma you have to sell alcohol at the casinos too and can't give free drinks like they do at other casinos, but tbh I think that's a good thing

I think there was something about liquor stores not being able to sell cold beer or alcohol until recently too? like no coolers allowed in the stores or something
