This is the same thread that hates illegible logos so I'm not surprised we have wet blankets when it comes to stagediving etiquette.

The reason this is happening is the Timbers are rebuilding the south deck for next year. All of the people who had tickets there had to move. Looks like they plan on making it a concert venue so we can get some bigger shows that always skip us.

Yep. It’s completely Live Nation controlled too. I’m pretty sure Live Nation is going to try to move into Portland as much as they can within the next 5-10 years. They are already supposed to be building a HOB type venue in inner SE Portland that’s a bit bigger than the Roseland/Crystal. It’ll be nice to have a large stadium and bigger club venue in Portland, but I’m hoping that other venues don’t suffer because of it.

I overweight, old, out of shape and brittle and try to stay out of harms way at shows. But if other people aren't jumping on each others heads and wildin' out at shows, I'm usually bored.

I have bad knees, shins, and ankles that give out constantly and cause me pain for days whenever I mosh. I got concussed diving almost 2 years ago when no one caught me.

my wife has said I can’t do crazy shit anymore unless I get so ripped I can catch myself from any fall and can mosh without pain.

guess who’s been to the gym almost every day this year?

dumb shit @ hardcore shows 4ever

I used to be all about being front row and getting into a pit occasionally, but I can’t do that anymore. Ever since I got kicked in the head at NFG’s set at Warped 2016, those days are long-gone

Oh yeah. If I can lean against a wall or a pillar or anything and watch a show, I’m all good

My go to is getting into the pit, but standing against the back wall.

I’m way too fat to be stage diving myself without potentially catching a manslaughter charge. I’ll stick with being in the pit (push pits >> hardcore dancing, crowd killing) and picking up crowdsurfers. I get that the chaos is part of the fun, but some people just be doing too much at shows. We all know the type…
