Excellent. Does this qualify me on becoming the mayor of Portland?

It seems this ones are a Brazilian emo band. But it would be cool if one member from the forum was part of the tour

they probably could’ve worded this better lol. Their vocalist blew his voice out but it sounds like they’re saying “oh I need a rest day, too much touring” so people are trashing them online.

Tried embedding this tweet multiple times but failed. Anyways, for those in the NYC area, FUV is doing it's annual holiday benefit at Beacon on 12/6. The Gaslight Anthem, Grace Potter, Iron & Wine and Thee Sacred Souls playing.

People were so mad that bands weren’t coming to Fresno. But now Fresno’s coming to them

Not a big YTG fan but they’ve had several big hits on alt radio. YTG is a no brainer to headline over them.

I know a lot of people older than me (I'm 33) that agree with me on Resurrection being one of their best albums. Everything since has really been eh, but so many people will go see them every time they tour because their live show really hasn't gone downhill at all. I have a friend who's a lawyer in his 40s with 3 kids but has seen NFG like 70 some times, & still sees them 3-4 times a year, & now his kids are starting to come along too.

Yeah YTG does amphitheaters. It makes every bit of sense they’re the headliner

I'll always remember Young the Giant for being at the top of The Daily Chorus' top unsigned bands list.

The Daily Chorus was a short lived rival site to this one. I appreciated the unsigned band rankings

I was thinking that it felt like too small of a tour to make such a big announcement over

    Things have changed.

Announce the stadiums first, get people's FOMO to convince them to buying tickets further away from their home venue thinking there won't be more shows added – THEN announce the smaller shows closer to them. It sucks, but makes sense from a business perspective.

For sure. I get the feeling they’ll be doing shows in some of the cities they played festivals at this year too (Chicago specifically)

Saw Boygenius and Muna tonight. People were psyched for Boygenius but the energy level was definitely higher for Muna who opened. They'll probably be arena-ready soon.

Personally cannot really get into anything Muna has released sans Silk Chiffon but that band is definitely going to be the next big thing. They sold out a 3,600 capacity venue in Chicago earlier this year (the same night as Caroline Polachek so there was some competition) in like seconds which blew my mind, but it’s clear that people absolutely love them. I believe a lot of their headlong shows in recent times have also sold out or sold extremely well too.
