Philly is the Northeast. Mid-Atlantic is a subset of the main regions similar to Midwest vs. Great Lakes

by this logic, then, DC and Baltimore would also be the northeast. But a lot of people reject that idea

Apologies again, Bucko, but the census bureau classifies Philly as Division 2 North East whereas DC and Baltimore are classified as a land of the nerds.

 

Baltimore is also the Northeast yes

 

I like to group things by shared culture. I think Philly is a lot more like a bigger Baltimore than a smaller New York

People from DelCo and people from northern Maryland have a lot of overlap haha. They basically have the same accent too aside from minor differences
