i hate playing against the eagles in madden, the weak side run game is decent but their secondary is impossible

 

I got the video back from my show in Atlanta.

Not my best vocal performance, but I feel like the strong moments do illustrate that I can sing well. Hopefully I'm just being too hard on myself and it's not actually that bad, it is a live performance with zero auto-tune so the standards aren't quite as high.

I just was more pitchy than usual cause it was a lot at once. I was also my own second guitarist, using a loop pedal to repeat the verse and the chorus and then playing the second guitar part on top. It was the most challenging thing I've ever done live and I was on video and everything - I also very frequently used my delay, reverb, tremolo and distortion pedal throughout. And switching amps every time I introduced a new guitar part / for other reasons, like dramatic side to side guitar transitions.

I was freaking the fuck out internally, because I hit the button slightly too late when I finished the main loop in the beginning - which creates a split second delay every time the verse repeats itself. So I had to like, remember where that was, and hold the last chord out slightly longer than a beat, and then jump back in at the right time, multiple times in the song. While trying to sing and play it and continue to loop / do other shit with my pedals. But somehow, SOMEHOW, I pulled it off and you can't even tell that the tempo fluctuates there cause I made it smooth.

guitar-wise i mostly nailed it (my mistakes aren't that noticeable) and they made it sound great. The point of using two different amps, is so the two guitar parts are heard separately and clearly in stereo, rather than mashed together on one amp. I basically tried to create that studio album style layered surround-sound, but live in one take with one person. And I def feel like I pulled that off.

Anyway I'm gonna slow release clips of it, y'all will see the full thing soon, I just wanna make the video exclusive at first to people who buy my next release. But y'all are my homies so I'll link you to the (at first) private YouTube link once it's up.

 

i hate having to rely on other vocalists, i have albums for two different projects basically finished and i’m just having to sit here with my thumb up my ass waiting on other people
