I listened to those demos a lot in college. A lot more varied if a sound than “Fallen.”

 

Part of me is getting really anxious for this UDiscover pressing of North to pop up. But also I'm so damn glad I might make it to October without another pre order

 

It hurt to ignore the SoCo pre-orders a few days ago, but damn, this hobby eats up my wallet and shelf space faster than anything else. I need to chill out for awhile.

 

Slowly building my Green Day collection. Transporting me back to 8th grade.

 

I recently moved a few weeks ago, and the amount of boxes I needed for all my records, and the weight of the them all, made me question if I could continue with this hobby.
Also attempting to appraise my collection through Discogs and realizing the value of my records could've covered most of my closing costs made me want to cry.

We don't even have a FS section here do we. I remember back on the old site buying some records. Same with the B9 forum. Used to have a FS subsection but the new forum doesn't either. What is it, eBay, VC, discogs and reddit? I think HYE still exists and deadformat seems to slowly be trying to make a comeback.

I’ve bought a handful of records off of posters in this thread. No issues or problems. Just fellow vinyl nerds helping each other.

 

Anyone have any weird buying/selling stories? I sold a Fickle Friends record that was unopened on ebay and the buyer messaged me flipping out saying I scammed him cause the record was someone covering Fickle Friends…it was like 10 dollars so I just refunded him to make the headache go away. Then it dawned on me, did the dude just have the rpm on the wrong setting and didn’t understand that concept? Just picturing him listening to the record sped up like the chipmunks and he’s just losing his mind thinking he got had.

 

closest i have to a weird story was trying to buy the Teleprompt version of Mutemath's S/T on CD (the digipak version, not the jewel case), only for the seller to just send me the standard Warner Bros copy instead. luckily i had the chance to get myoney back, and found an ALAC rip of the Teleprompt version from someone on Reddit.

 

My fav Green Day album... hot damn, that is such a gorgeous package. Hot damn and a half, I say!

In 2008, i ordered a collection of Springsteen records for a dirt cheap price. They arrived sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard shoddily taped together. It was the worst, weirdest packaging i'd ever seen. Like not even a proper record mailer. Dude just shoved records between sheets of cardboard and half assed it. The records were warped and jackets were water damaged. But then i couldn't tell how much got damaged in transport.

I think i paid 10 dollars for those 4 Springsteen records. Didn't feel worth disputing or anything. Lol.
