Portland could’ve gotten 3 firsts plus a couple other firsts after flipping Herro but decided to take a guy who’s old, thought about retiring, and makes a ton of money + a guy who’s team badly wanted to get rid of him. Just a weird deal all around imo.

The only winners are the Bucks.

I think it's more Cronin was embarrassed about fucking it up with Dame and the public trade demand so he didn't want to give in.

If that Heat offer was real, it is miles better than what Portland ended up with.

Maybe he's holding a grudge for getting tricked into to taking Hassan Whiteside in the Jimmy trade lol

 

You know in fantasy when you’re trying to make a trade happen, but the details of the deal leak to the rest of the league, who then say it’s a bad deal and don’t take it just to sabotage you…and the owner of that player gets scared off….then that player ends up in another deal not as good and no one says anything….

that’s what happened here.

 

y’all are acting like the deal is in concrete and ignoring that whatever they get in return for jrue counts as part of this lol

ayton + picks + return from jrue is a better return than herro, duncan and miami’s picks. it just is. you could argue miami could have brought in a third team like phoenix and that would certainly have changed it but it would also require pat riley doing his job, which it seems like he is incapable of still doing.

 

that being said i fully do not understand what phoenix is getting out of this lol
