I need to get back into it

 

Been playing a good amount of Starfield. Having a good time. Only have been to New Atlantis and Cydonia as far as the big cities go. Game is scratching that Bethesda itch, definitely nothing groundbreaking, just a really solid open world game.

 

Player's Log: Trails From Zero.

Venturing outside the city. Saved and ending tonight just inside the village on the outskirts.

I'm going to gripe for a minute, and it's about achievements, and that there are so many dumb battle achievements in this one. Achievement for using 100 S-Crafts. Achievement for getting 100 pre-emptive attacks. Achievement for chaining three battles together. Achievement for killing eight enemies at once.

Like... these are not fun achievements to get. They're boring and force me to act in ways I wouldn't normally act just for the sake of getting a dumb achievement. And not in a fun experimental kind of way, but just in a tedious, gotta remember to do this, kind of way.

It's worse than the collect-a-thon stuff, which don't get me wrong, is also completely borderline insane in this one, but at least that is more interesting and based around exploration.

Spending way too much time in Starfield customizing my ship, unexpectedly spec'd into tech for the ship design skills.

And jetpack. All the jetpack.

idk man, the only reason Infinite shipped was literally because of Rod Ferguson, and without anyone reigning Ken Levine in, there's a chance it won't ship at all.

I just rewatched the reveal trailer because I honestly couldn’t even remember what it looked like, besides like another Bioshock game, and yeah it doesn’t look great

It it’s effecting Fortnite, that’s a red flag for anyone attempting live service games that aren’t mobile.
