This. Use the data to draw your own conclusions. Is Trevor Lawrence the 2nd best passer right now? Of fucking course not. Is he much better than box score scouts are saying? Yes and the data is extremely clear on that.

i dont know what any of these things are i dont look at stats at all i only need simple fantasy metrics to know who is good

why are you taking this personal? This isn’t about you haha this is about my general reasoning for why I don’t really lean into advanced statistics. I’d much rather just be like “oh he played a defense that excels at this so it makes sense he struggled at this” or “his offensive line sucks so I’m gonna take the sack and hurry numbers a little lighter and not be so quick to blame him” etc. that is my point. Not “the stats Elf uses are trash!”

Why would you respond to me with things I'm not talking about then? Advanced statistics, again, aren't just those formulas. It's stuff like using adjusted completion instead of base level completion
