Cause we had some good games and some terrible games last year, playcalling wise. So “he called some second halves last year” doesn’t really move the needle for me unless I know he was calling the games where we were able to generate a lot of momentum

I just by default trust Doug because he learned directly from Andy Reid, and his offense has scored 41 against Bill Belichick in a superbowl with a backup QB and subpar RBs and receivers. So to me it seems pretty obvious that when our playcalling is bad. It’s probably not Doug!

 

You know what else he learned from Andy Reid? Second half playcalling!

 

That hasn’t been an issue for Reid since he moved to the Chiefs

 

No I'm pretty certain Doug called plays in the 2nd half in KC and he's applying that same method here

 

I'd have to find the article but I'm pretty sure he did say he called the second halves of those comebacks. I agree though, I feel like he benefited from seeing how the defenses responded to Doug's calls and was able to adjust accordingly. He just hasn't been able to get them off to a good start.
