When you hit a mothafucka, you hit that mothafucka Prestigious

Maybe that’s a good thing though. I get the argument of “he had a good supporting cast that was always open and always blocking well” but actually so did Joe Burrow. At some point, having ultra-skilled receivers isn’t just a crutch. A QB can learn a lot about how to make reads and how to recognize what “open” is from a WR who really knows what they’re doing. Developing chemistry is a very complicated thing. The more a WR can tell you, for example: “when they’re showing this look, I’m gonna do this release, get this angle, and I want you to position the ball at this exact spot. Even if the coverage isn’t bad I can consistently beat the defender there if his hips got turned by my release at the line”…. The more you’re gonna understand anticipation and keys as a QB. Skilled WR literally run routes differently against different coverages etc and I think that kind of insight really helps QBs like Stroud understand how to read a defense fast when the coverage is good and the pass rush isnt giving him space.

what I mean is Bryce’s highlights are crazy and not typical for a QB, whereas Stroud very much looks and plays like a stereotypical QB on tape. Bryce had more hype because he was more electric and brought more wow factor that’s gonna cause defenses to have to play him differently. The dual threat is the trend right now and Bryce at his best plays sorta like early Seahawks Russell Wilson, I just think a lot of good has to happen to the Panthers before he actually gets there.

I just discovered that Jack Campbell is one of the most frequently deployed linebackers on the defensive line. Excuse me while I absolutely [redacted] Aaron Glenn.

People said this about Joe Burrow but I think as we enter year four of that class in the NFL it's becoming increasingly obvious that this is not true. JJ and Chase obviously but virtually everyone else from his team has already been replaced.

This is why I love Burrow. And it's no coincidence I'm sure that Stroud listed Burrow as one of his top inspirations.

I don't think dual threat is a trend but also Bryce literally ran less than Stroud, he was just far far far better at it.

The fact the Lions kept him after last season is so strange to me. 30th in pass 29th in rush. 32nd overall

And in the NFL Burrow can pass exceptionally well but takes a lot of hits so I think that kinda proves the point as well

I’m amused that we’re talking about Alabama Crimson Tide QB Bryce Young being a victim of a bad supporting cast

They had 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, and 3 OL drafted in the first 3 rounds in 2022 and 2023 combined
