I get the point you’re trying to make but if a tv show sucks for 90% of its episodes I’m not gonna keep watching it dude

In fairness, the Kardashians suck but also it's awesome and i love it.

 

Idk the Pokemon series was very popular on TV and the whole premise was "check out this shitty child that can't win anything"

More so “has a lot of loose ends unresolved” than “sucks the whole time”

the tv show SUCKED when Urban Meyer was our coach for sure and if we’d have kept him I wouldn’t be watching.

but outside of that, there’s suspense in it as long as I can at least somewhat justify the moves the team is making and see some potential for optimism. I always root for certain players on the team that I feel like are good enough to help turn the team around, and that we COULD get good if our coaches made the right decisions… even if that hasn’t happened in so long lol

I mean yeah I’m not actively sad about the Jags during the week. Sunday evenings can be a drag if we lost bad, but lately I’ve been working the comedy club Sunday nights, and if I don’t I just go to the park or take a nap after a loss, so I’m usually over it by like 6pm because I make myself go do something non-football related. When we win, or when we play well but still lose against a good team, I usually do keep watching football the rest of the day.

Idk if it’s my OCD or what, but rewatching the game and seeing what we could’ve done better, always makes me feel better lol. Like if I know what to criticize and what the solution is, that’s fun for me, versus that hour or so immediately after the Texans loss where I’m just incredulous, like “what the fuck even happened to our entire team today” haha. Being mentally engaged and able to explain to myself where we went wrong tends to make football exciting for me even when we lose.

@Guitarists in here: Do y'all do your own setups or have em done at shops? I wanna learn to do my own setups but I'm not sure how hard it is to learn to do

It’s obviously more fun to win the game and then analyze what we did to be so successful lol but yeah it does work both ways. I do love football and football strategy in general, really love watching and learning about how other teams operate too, but that in turn makes me even more invested in my team cause I always have ideas on what we could be doing better and what our strengths are that we should focus on.

 

I’m not a person who really has a skill for craftsmanship so I just take it to the shop. If you’re gentle with your guitar and it’s stored in a climate controlled room it shouldn’t need setups too frequently, it doesn’t need to be done every time you change strings or anything like that. so I like to just pay once and get it over with cause I know that guy’s worked with thousands of guitars and is gonna get it right.

Sorta related / unrelated: If I could pay someone to tune my drum set I would. I trust my ear a lot for melodic instruments, but with drums it’s so WEIRD, you’re actually hearing a lot of notes resonating at the same time in weird octaves and I always overthink it
