Mid game getting overhaul. Really making that "critically acclaimed" do some heavy lifting.

 

The gameplay loop in need for speed unbound is so addicting I had another 4 am night without realizing it

I just think it's funny that you always talk about asking Sony for it, never the company who actually makes the games and holds the rights to the franchise. Gives me real "all consoles are a Nintendo" vibes.

 

Just finished Cyberpunk Main Quest, finally. What a great game, perfect timing for the DLC can't wait to dive in tomorrow.

Gonna start a new FF7R file and play through the next couple of months leading up to REBIRTH

 

Don't know about you, but the 2.0 patch has ruined my two main characters. I have to change my playstyle or start from scratch. It would be my 4th playthrough though. I don't want to play through the prologue and those fucking braindances.

 

The file I started on was one that I did when the PS5 patch came out, so it was only like 5 hours into the game, like right after the prologue so I had a very smooth experience. Curious how it ruined your characters? I have seen people saying that but just didn't have that experience.

 

One character was a smg/shotgun build. I relied a lot on the fast reloading perk, which is now non-existent. They changed the stamina bar so now just shooting a gun uses stamina, like what the hell ?! I used to run/jump around the battlefield reloading after each kill. Can't do both now.

Player's Log: Trails From Zero.

I was hoping to finish the prologue tonight, but no such luck. I got as far as completing the second foray into the Geofront.

I have thoughts on this game so far in comparison to the Sky games.

First, it's my understanding that the party I have now is the party I'll have for the whole game, which honestly, comes as a relief. The Sky games and their Loads And Loads Of Characters gave me some grief, as I'd outlined before, when it came to choosing who to have for story purposes. Since this time I have all the party I'll ever get right from the beginning, I can rest easy knowing that I won't miss any relevant dialogue.

Second, Crossbell is a fucking huge city, and each district is so unique. I like the idea that this game is centered around one place rather than multiple kingdoms. It's a different feel, and certainly there's enough to explore in Crossbell to where I can easily see whole segments of the game revolving around each district.

Finally, it occurred to me while playing that my characters are, unfortunately, police officers, which means I'll have to stop playing this game immediately, because ACAB.

That reminds me, I need to finish The Alliance Alive

 

lost a couple hours to Sea of Stars last night, this is right up my alley in terms of JRPG’s

 

I couldn't get into it the first time I tried. I always look at it and think about trying again.
